Week 6

•February 14, 2010 • Leave a Comment

So I have decided that I am going to put aside my weekly goal and for now this will just be a photo blog where I will post pictures when I can. At the moment life is just too busy! School, language course, oh and having a baby sometime in the next few weeks. I do promise to try and get pictures up often though! Thank you to those who check in regularly! Here are a couple of pictures I did manage to take this week.

Week 5

•February 9, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Well… I have to say.. I failed for week 5. I did not manage to take any pictures before Sunday due to the fact that I am ill. I did manage to drag my butt out of bed to try and get some done only to find that batteries in my camera where dead. So no pictures this week, I’m sorry. I will however make sure to get new pictures up this coming Sunday.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!

Pic of the Week – Brothers

•February 3, 2010 • Leave a Comment

The photo that was most popular last week was of my Husband and his brother playing Guitar Hero, so this weeks theme for quotes is Brothers.  Don’t forget to vote for your favorite photo for week 4.

Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.

~Marc Brown

A brother shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams.

~Author Unknown

Our brothers and sisters are there with us from the dawn of our personal stories to the inevitable dusk.

~Susan Scarf Merrell

A brother is a friend given by Nature.

~Jean Baptiste Legouve

It was nice growing up with someone like you – someone to lean on, someone to count on… someone to tell on!

~Author Unknown

Brothers don’t necessarily have to say anything to each other- they can sit in a room and be together and just be completely comfortable with each other.

— Leonardo Dicaprio

To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

Hope you are all enjoying your week!!

Week 4 – More Snow!

•January 31, 2010 • Leave a Comment

So just when I thought spring might be peeking its head out, it snowed… a lot. Well at least it was a lot for Denmark. This past Friday we got about a foot of snow. This gave me a great chance to take some more snow pictures from down here in the town of Sønderborg. I hope that you all enjoy. Please remember to vote on your favorite picture. Also, remember you can see a larger version of the pictures by clicking on it.

Pic of the Week – Standing Tall

•January 20, 2010 • Leave a Comment

So the picture that you all chose as your favorite for week 1 was:

Now when I see this picture I think of tallness, so the theme for quotes this week are standing tall.

“I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or
catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.”

Dawna Markova

“Be glad of  life, because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars.”

Henry Van Dyke

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Howard Thurman

“You can stand tall without standing on someone. You can be a victor without having victims.”

-Harriet Woods

” Its is better to be defeated on principle than to win on lies.”

– Arthur Calwell

I Hope that you all are enjoying your week! Don’t forget to vote on your favorite picture from the week 2 post!
